The Health System Response Monitor (HSRM) has been designed in response to the COVID-19 outbreak to collect and organize up-to-date information on how countries are responding to the crisis. It focuses primarily on the responses of health systems but also captures wider public health initiatives. This is a joint undertaking of the WHO Regional Office for Europe, the European Commission, and the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies.

Preventing COVID-19 transmission: Meeting the challenge of scaling-up population testing

Tuesday 27 October 2020 from 12:00-13:00 CET

The importance of scaling-up testing to detect and prevent transmission of COVID-19 cannot be overestimated. However, it can only be effective as part of a whole-systems response. A systems approach is not just the capacity to test at scale; it also means sharing data to refer every positive test result for contact tracing and a fair isolation policy. All of this must be designed as an integral component of health and public health services, ensuring the best use of, and integration with, local systems. Have countries met the challenge of scaling-up population testing? Join us in this webinar to learn more about the experience in different countries and what lessons we might learn.
