Hospital care and COVID-19: Balancing surge capacity and regular
services
Tuesday 3 November 2020 from 12:00-13:00 CET
Early in the pandemic, much emphasis was placed on scaling-up hospital
capacity so the system could cope with a large number of infectious
patients. As the epidemiological situation has changed, approaches to
resuming hospital services in different countries have focused on the
prioritization of different procedures and how to manage the separation of
COVID-19 and routine patients. Such decisions have been made at the central
or local level and different ways of consulting with the medical community
have been employed. How have countries balanced surge capacity and regular
services? Join us for this webinar to learn more about the experience so far
with managing these competing demands on hospital care and what lessons we
might learn.
